For Mya’s flower-themed 2nd Birthday party, it was a day full of love and light (and a little bit of snow!) We hope you enjoy a look into Mya’s fun day! It all started with the invites:
We might have gotten into some suckers before the guests arrived. But then Mya helped me hang the “welcome” sign.
The bright party decor made me want to have balloons and flowers out year-round… or at least for a few days. (Derek’s having to hold back my urges to decorate for Christmas!)
The “guestbook” station requested “Take a fortune. Leave a fortune.” Family wrote well wishes on little pink pieces of paper. (Which I will later include in her birthday scrapbook pages.)
We didn’t serve a meal, but there were plenty of sweet snacks… and Mom’s famous 7-layer dip. Yummers.
After singing “happy birthday” to Mya, she requested that we “Habby yoooou again?” So we sang a second time. And then she had her first (yet gentle) attempt with a pinata.
For favors, there were wallet-sized pics of the birthday girl and Mya’s favorite… suckers!
I love it when our house is filled with family. It feels cozy, warm, and right where we’re supposed to be. Our little goofball creates so much happiness! Cheers to another beautiful year.
